During a recent Fifth Circuit oral argument, my former boss, Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod, assured a government lawyer that “[i]t’s not just the D.C. Circuit that handles . . . administrative appeals.” Judge Elrod is right. Yet because the D.C. Circuit tends to hog the admin-law spotlight, the Fifth Circuit's important contributions to this fascinating area of law often go relatively unnoticed. This blog aims to change that.
